Truck sales balance released by Fenabrave on Friday, 9/2, registers the segment’s best month of the year. Licensing in August summed 12.3 units, an 8.6% growth over July, when the market bought 11.3 thousand cargo vehicles. In eight months, this was the first time that registers overcame 12 thousand units.
According to Fenabrave, although the lack of parts and components is still concerning, conditions seem less restrictive for the industry. “There are punctual product availability problems, but in general, the situation is much stabler and balanced than what we faced last year”, ponders Andreta Jr, president of Fenabrave.
Nonetheless, although at the same level, sales performance in August was 2.76% lower than in the same month last year, when 12.6 thousand trucks were licensed.
With this month’s results, the segment registers reached 80.9 thousand units, an 1.5% drop from the 82.1 thousand trucks sold last year.
