The Anfir, the national association of road implements manufacturers, released this Tuesday, 9/6, the balance of the sector’s sales from January through August, which reached 103,724 units, showing a small 3.3% setback compared to the 107,303 commercialized in the first period in 2021.

The trailer and semi-trailer segment totaled 55,319 units, a volume of 9.97% under the registered in the same eight months last year (61,445 units). In the body-on-chassis segment, the performance remained positive, with 48,405 licensed units, an expansion of 5.5% over last year’s 45,858 in the same period.

José Carlos Spricigo, Anfir’s president, calls attention to the monthly average sales results, which registered growth over the last eight months. In the first measurement, in the first bimester, it comprised 11,482 products. Currently, the monthly average has grown to 12,965 units.

“This positive trend indicates that the market is reacting, pushed by the performance of segments such as agribusiness, civil construction, mining and retail commerce”, explains Spricigo. In his evaluation, the prospect for the industry to deliver 165 thousand road implements this year is nearer. “The average has grown constantly, and the difference of 1,500 units from the first to the last result is significant”.

The executive also sees the projections for next year as favorable: “The road implements market and the companies associated with Anfir have good expectations for 2023 with the maintenance of the positive growth spiral in the most important segments for the sector, as agribusiness. We also noticed signals of a fall of the interest rates and inflation, with the indexes returning to the predicted goals”.

MoveBrazil

September marks the return of the promotion actions of the MoveBrazil program, which was just renewed between Anfir and ApexBrasil (the Brazilian government’s trade and investment promotion agency). The first will be a business round in Lima, Peru, on September 13 and 14, with 14 companies participating.

The second action will be the presence of 17 Brazilian road implements manufacturers on September 29 through 25 at the IAA Transportation, the world’s largest mobility fair, in Hannover, Germany.

“Anfir values the exports, and the partnership with ApexBrasil greatly expands the reach of our products, bringing foreign currency and generating jobs and income in our country”, asserts Spricigo, revealing that sales to the foreign market keep growing.
From January through July 2022, 2,890 trailers and semi-trailers were exported, 8.9% more than in the same period last year (2.654 units).
