Iveco on the way to its historic record in Brazil

The brand sold more than 10 thousand trucks from January through September. The market share more than doubled in three years

Even before the end of September, Iveco is already celebrating the mark of 10 thousand trucks sold in the first nine months of 2022. The result represents an almost 30% growth over the same period last year and overcomes the 8,590 units licensed in 2021.

If the brand maintains the monthly pace registered from January through September in the last quarter, it can achieve a new record in the country, where it began to produce in 2000, three years after arriving with imported models. Anyway, it is the larger volume registered by the brand in the last decade.

Iveco’s best yearly result in truck sales happened in 2011, when it sold 14,241 units, according to Anfavea. But Brazil also achieved its all-time truck market results that year, with almost 173 thousand units negotiated.

2022 may also register the largest share ever achieved by the manufacturer in Brazil. The year-to-date results are close to 10%, compared to 9% in 2021. In such a short period, it is an uncommon leap in the truck market. In 2019, for example, Iveco had only 3.8% of licensed trucks.

“This is a very special moment. We celebrate the achievements not just for the numbers but for what they mean. Our growth happens sustainably”, emphasizes Marcio Querichelli, Iveco’s president for Latin America.

The operation will have a R$ 1 billion investment cycle from 2022 through 2025. About 60% of these resources will be directed to new products and the rest to improve services, assistance net, industrial processes and supplier development to increase the nationalization index.
