The 2023 Nissan Leaf starts to be distributed this week to the 44 brand dealerships homologated for electric vehicle sales and services. With some external design changes, the model now has a type 2 European standard 7-pin connector, more common at the Brazilian charging stations, other than Nissan’s ChadeMo, for fast battery charge.

The manufacturer from Resende, RJ, informed that it will maintain the price of the electric car for the 2023 lineup at R$ 293,790. Among the front-end changes stand up the new format of the grille and bumper and the new headlights style, now with a black internal finish, no longer chrome plated. The light alloy, 5-spoke 17-inch wheels’ has also changed.

The model has the new Nissan logo positioned at the front grille, in the trunk lid, at the center of the wheels and on the steering wheel. To improve comfort and safety, the Leaf got an intelligent internal mirror, which reproduces rear images in the internal rear mirror (LCD screen) without blind spots or interference from the rear seat headrests, for example.

Another innovation in the 2023 lineup is the audio system by Bose, an automotive sound premium brand, with two 1-inch tweeters, two 6.5-inch long-range speakers at the front doors, two 5.25 speakers at the rear doors, an amplifier and a 4.5-inch woofer in the luggage area.

Launched in Brazil on July 18, 2019, the Leaf has already sold more than 600 thousand units worldwide. Among the autonomous drive technologies of the model is the e-Pedal, which allows the driver to accelerate, decelerate and stop the car using only the accelerator pedal.

The model also has the Nissan Intelligent Safety Shield, a safety system integrating functions such as the Intelligent Lane Change Alert, Intelligent Lane Change Prevention, Intelligent Emergency Braking Assistant, Intelligent Speed Control, Blind Spot Alert and Intelligent 360º View with Movement Detector.
