The Hyundai HB20 recovered Brazil’s best-selling automobile title in October. Hyundai’s hatch had almost 9.1 thousand units licensed, while the Chevrolet Tracker, second-placed and leader in September, sold 8.5 thousand units.
From January through October, the HB20 is in the second position, with more than 79.8 thousand units sold. Over this period, the best-selling vehicle in Brazil was the Fiat Strada, the small pickup that also led the Brazilian market last year.
The light commercial vehicle sold 94 thousand units in 10 months. Hyundai’s car comes right after, but due to a 14 thousand units disadvantage, it will hardly be able to overcome the compact pickup until the end of the year. Among the ten best-selling vehicles from January through October, four are SUVs.
Last month, the Strada was only the third model in the sales ranking, with a little more than 8 thousand units registered and overcame the Chevrolet Onix (7.9) by a slight margin.
Following came the Chevrolet Onix Plus (7.3 thousand), Fiat Mobi (6.7 thousand), Fiat Argo (6.6 thousand), Renault Kwid (5.9 thousand), Volkswagen T-Cross (5.6 thousand) and Jeep Compass (5.3 thousand).
The absence of the veteran Volkswagen Gol, which stood out in the previous month but will be discontinued until the end of the year, calls attention. Up to October, it had 56.1 thousand units sold.
