Scania chose the Fenatran 2022 – 23rd International road Cargo Transportation Salon – to launch its rental service Scania Locação, which begins to be commercialized this Monday, 11/7, with plans from 24 to 60 months and monthly cost from R$ 19 thousand to R$ 40 thousand.
Silvio Munhoz, Scania’s commercial operations general director in Brazil, informed that the delivery of the first trucks would happen only in February: “We are beginning the commercialization at the Fenatran, but we will have products available only after the January vacations”.
The company’s expectative for 2023 is to sell from 300 to 500 trucks for the rental service, “which would represent a 3% to 4% share of our yearly business”, said Munhoz. According to the executive, 11% of the trucks registered in the country in 2021 were for rental.
Scania Locação’s executive manager, Renata Campos, informed the agribusiness customers are the main focus of the service, which is offering all the new P8/Euro 6 lineup and the Super range.
“Sugarcane, timber and grain are some of the segments that demand the most rental trucks”, says the executive. The brand’s more than 120 dealerships already offer the service, which can also be negotiated at the Fenatran.
