The motorcycle market kept ahead of all other automotive segments and grew 17.7% this year. From January through November, 1.229.987 motorbikes were registered – in the same period, last year, the number was 1,044,901.
Last month, sales reached more than 123.2 thousand units, a 22.4% expansion over October (120.3 thousand) and 15.7% over November last year (106.5 thousand)
According to Fenabrave, the association of light and heavy vehicles, motorcycles, implements, tractors and other automotive sector dealers, the two-wheel segment should close the year with one of the highest growths regarding 2021. For Fenabrave´s president, José Maurício Andreta Jr., diverse factors contributed to this result:
“It is a very sustainable growth, as the motorcycles, besides being a commercial vehicle, is an economical and safe personal transportation option. Nonetheless, even with the production recovery by the industry, the demand isn’t being fully met, which should keep a good performance in the future”, commented the businessman, forecasting the continuity of the expansion in 2023.
