Anfir doesn't see the fall as business losses but as caused by a purchase profile change and an effect of Fenatran

The delivery of road implements to the transport sector last year added 154.7 units, 4.87% less than in 2021 (162.6 thousand). Nonetheless, in a balance presented this Monday, 1/9, Anfir, the association of segment manufacturers, says the result signs a business recovery.
“For the second consecutive year, the sector sold over 150 thousand units, indicating a consolidation of its activities”, said in a note José Carlos Spricigo, Anfir’s president. “The less than 5% difference from the previous year is too small to be considered a fall.”
According to the data, it was the second-best performance in the last five years after 2021. The Anfir leader says the reduction happened due to a change in the transporters’ purchase profile, now opting for four-axle semitrailers instead of bi-trains, as well as the effect of the Fenatran 2022.
“The smaller number of products sold did not necessarily mean a business fall”, said Anfir’s president. “The deliveries at Fenatran begin during the fair and are maintained through the following year. This changes the performance results positively”.
Anfir says the business of the 50 manufacturers present at the Fenatran 2022 added to about R$ 3.5 billion in business that will be closed during the next months.
Last year 83.1 thousand trailers and semitrailers were sold, 8% less than in 2021 when 90.3 thousand units were delivered. The deliveries of bodies on chassis reached 71.6 thousand units, stable compared to the previous year’s, with a slight 1% fall.
