Just a few days after revealing its future electric pickup will be called 1500 Rev, Ram released last weekend the first clean images of the battery-driven model and a video opening online customer reservations.
The 60-second commercial was broadcasted on United States television Sunday night and previously on the brand’s social media nets. The Rev will begin to be produced only in 2024.
‘With the opening of reservations to pre-order the Ram 1500 REV, we wanted to address directly any potential concerns about electric pickups. The video intends to inform our customers that we heard their concerns”, said Olivier François, Stellantis’s global Marketing chief.
“The Ram 1500 REV will be the first of a series of electrified solutions that will add to our current pickup lineup. We are into an exciting electrification journey that will take the Ram to overcome the competitors in areas that concern customers the most, as range, cargo and towing capacity and charging time”, complemented the CEO Mike Koval Jr.
Ram also launched the paid REV Insider+ program. For a reimbursable US$ 100 fee, the subscriber unlocks privileges, including a place in the pre-order line and access to events, news and information about the new vehicle.
The tax can be reimbursed until Ram notifies the consumer that the Ram REV is available for pre-order.
