The first units of the new Nissan Sentra produced in Mexico are already disembarking in Brazil.
The manufacturer does not inform when it will open the pre-sales process but says that customers who want to receive news about the vehicle can contact the dealerships to enroll. “They will receive first-hand communications with car details and about actions promoted by Nissan”, says a note released by the company this Wednesday, 2/15.
The Mexican car, built on the CMF-C platform, will compete in the segment currently dominated by the Toyota Corolla, which detains three-fourths of this segment sedan market. Another competitor is the Chevrolet Cruze, which in 2022 had a 15% share and second place in the ranking.
Currently, Nissan produces in Brazil only the SUV Kicks. Its plant is in Resende, RJ. Another brand’s important model in the national market is the Frontier pickup, whose new generation is being produced in Argentina since last year.
