Fras-le, part of Empresas Randon, keeps expanding its external operations. The company has just announced the acquisition of AML Juratek, a traditional United Kingdom autoparts supplier and controller of Juratek and BettaParts, companies that operate in the European replacement market with brake products such as rotors, brake pads, calipers and actuators.

According to Fras-le, the operation involved the investment of about 18.2 million British pounds, close to R$ 114 million.  The purchase conclusion is subject to conditions foreseen in the contract.

“This move is part of our business expansion strategy in the replacement sector, inserting the company in mature markets, as the European, through product diversification and brand expansion in the portfolio”, told Fras-le’s superintendent director Anderson Pontalti.

The idea is to keep the brands Juratek and BettaParts in European countries while strengthening the company presence with its brands, such as Fremax and Fras-le. Last year, AML Juratek had 25 million pounds in revenue.

“With this strategic action, we reaffirm our position as one of the largest brands portfolio for the autoparts replacement market, expanding the model that has been working well in Brazil to other markets”, asserts Sérgio Carvalho, Fras-le’s president and CEO, adding that the ongoing projects look to aggregate value to the business and quality in solutions delivered to customers.

Besides Brazilian plants, Fras-le also has operations in the United States, China, Argentina, Uruguay and India, as well as distribution, technology, and development centers and commercial representatives to assist customers in more than 120 countries in the five continents.

In Europe, where it will now operate in the United Kingdom, Fras-le already has a distribution center in Nederland and a commercial office in Germany.
