Without disclosing investments, the company revealed just the models that will have the offer extended, among them the electrics Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning and E-Transit, and the conventional Bronco Sport, Maverick and Transit.

The plant of Cuautitlán, in Mexico, responsible for producing the Mustang Mach-E, should almost double its hourly production to reach 210 thousand units per year thanks to internal production line changes. Currently sold in 37 countries, the model will be launched in Brazil this year.

“We had a strong sales start in 2023, and we are moving to accelerate production focusing on quality”, said Kumar Galhotra, president of Ford Blue, the brand’s combustion engine vehicles division. “The production increase is good both for our customers and our business”.

The Mustang Mach-E, which has attracted other brands’ buyers, had an important participation in this growth. Still talking about electrics, the F-150 Lightning pickup will have its production tripled this year to 150 thousand units at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Michigan.

“The Bronco Sport and Maverick are other models that will have the production increased this year, with additional 80 thousand units for North and South American customers”, informed the company. “The gas engine F-150, just launched in Brazil, also will gain volume at the Dearborn plant to strengthen Series F’s 46 years lead in pickups in the continent”.
