Latin America’s largest autoparts fair, Automec, will occupy all eight pavilions of the São Paulo Expo from April 25 through 29, assembling close to 1.5 brands. RX, the event promoter, expects a public of over 80 thousand people, 80% of them occupying lead positions and able to make business. The expectation is to reach deals of about R$ 24 billion in the five days of the 2023 edition.
Last year, according to Sindipeças, aftermarket grew 13.9% compared to 2021. The increase was 13.6% in the light vehicle segment and 14.8% in the heavy sector. On Monday, April 24, it will happen at Automec’s space the 4th
Autoparts Industry Meeting to debate innovation and opportunities for the sector.
For this year, RH promises a daily drift performance in partnership with Ultimate Drift, when experienced drivers will challenge the resistance of various vehicle components.
“In drift, the cars slide through the curves sideways, always in oversteering, with the front wheel pointing the opposite side of the turn. The objective isn’t speed, but to show the driver’s skill and the car’s efficiency at the track”, explains RX.
One month before the Automec, some exhibitors already reveal their highlights for the São Paulo Expo. That’s the case of RIO, a brand from Santa Catarina that produces nearly five thousand engine items, exporting to 25 countries.
In its 130 m² stand, there will be items from its light lineup, such as crankshaft bearings, engine head screws, head gaskets and distribution kits, and also form the heavy line. “We are constantly developing our portfolio with new product families and complementing the lines,” says Natália da Silva Vasconcelos, RIO’s commercial manager.
The NTN Group tells its stand at Automec will be fully focused on the aftermarket. With a plant in Fazenda Rio Grande, PR, and a Distribution Center in Campina Grande do Sul, the wheel bearing supplier for vehicle manufacturers is investing in the aftermarket to expand business in the country.
