The first GWM (Great Wall Motors ) dealerships in Brazil will open doors only in May, but the Chinese brand that will begin to produce in Brazil next year presented this Thursday, 3/30, one more Haval model to arrive in Brazil in the second semester, imported from China.
Oswaldo Ramos, responsible for GWM’s commercial operations, did not reveal which vehicle or the segment it would dispute.
It shall not compete against the H6, a medium SUV that already has 584 units reserved to be delivered to customers beginning in April, before the opening of the first 50 dealerships the brand expects to be operating up to the end of the year.
Ramos confirmed that in 2024 Poer’s pickups and the Tank off-road SUVs – two other GWM brands – should be in the Brazilian market.
The second Haval model sold in Brazil will certainly be electrified, like the H6, which has hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, and all other models GWM intends to produce locally or import.
To accelerate public contact with the Haval H6, GWM will expose the model in about forty shopping malls. The idea is also to promote test drives in these places.
SAME PRICES IN APRIL AND PARTNERSHIP WITH WEG
GWM says more than one thousand H6 units are already on the way from China to the port of Vitória, ES. They should also supply pre-sales made in April with the same prices that initially were to be kept only through March: R$ 209 thousand for the HEV, R$ 269 thousand for the Premium Plug-in and R$ 299 thousand for the GT top-of-range version, already responsible for 50% of the reservations.
The models have no optional items, and the price is the same countrywide, without freight or painting additional charges.
The manufacturer announced a partnership with the Brazilian multinational Weg to supply charge wall boxes to be offered in the dealerships. For the customers who pre-reserved in March or will do it in April, the 7.4 kWh device will cost R$ 4,400.00, half the R$ 8,800.00 that will be charged in May.
