Rio – Riosulense, engine components manufacturer from Rio do Sul, SC, expects to achieve a R$ 600 million income, 25% more than last year’s R$ 450 million. Currently producing 15 product lines, the company is launching four more at Automec: bearing shells, distribution kits, gaskets, and cylinder head bolts.

The expansion expected for this year is based fundamentally on the novelties presented at Latin America’s largest autoparts fair, according to Natália Vasconcelos, Rio’s commercial manager. “We have grown continuously over the last few years. We are currently working with three shifts at the plant and, besides the internal market, we sell to 25 other countries worldwide”.

The replacement market corresponds to 46% of internal businesses and 9% of exports. “Keeping a constant relationship with customers is what moves us”, emphasizes Natália. “We can celebrate this moment only by offering new engine repair products that will be on the market soon”.

Operating for 77 years in the Brazilian market, Rio is one of the main Latin American automotive parts manufacturers. It supplies light and heavy vehicle manufacturers in the country and abroad, besides offering products for the agricultural and railway markets.

To ensure more productivity and product quality, the company from Santa Catarina has invested strongly in the last years in robotization and modernization at its plant in Rio do Sul.
