A great event on electric mobility will happen on June 14 in Brasília, DF, already defined as “historical” by Anfavea’s president, Márcio de Lima Leite. According to the executive, the target public is the Executive, Legislative and Judiciary powers, besides universities and the private sector.

There will be discussion panels on international electric vehicular mobility experiences, local production of electric vehicles and batteries, parts, components and technology supply chain, energy generation infrastructure, energy transmission and distribution and new technologies and materials used in electrification.

Fifty electric vehicles will be exhibited – light, heavy and even agricultural machines, besides components for electric models. The announcement of the event named “Conduzindo o Futuro da Eletrificação no Brasil” (Conducting Electrification’s Future in Brazil) happened on Monday, 5/8, during the press conference to release Anfavea’s monthly and year-to-date sector balance.

The electric market is still incipient in Brazil but has grown over the last years, basically due to premium brands’ imports. In the first four months, 2,532 electric vehicles were delivered, 44.5% more than the 1,752 registered one year ago.

The hybrids, which two brands are assembling in Brazil – Toyota and Caoa Chery – grew by 51.4% from 11.2 thousand to 17 thousand in the same period. The electrified vehicle’s market share in Brazil grew from 2.5% to 3.3%.

“The event on June 14 in Brasília will present the manufacturers’ vision about electrification”, pondered Anfavea’s president, recalling that the same brands that invest in electrification abroad operate in Brazil and have projects in diverse areas, including decarbonization
