In its best year ever in Brazil, which should be marked by the beginning of local production, Ram launched today its new model Ram 1500 Limited, offered in two configurations: the basic, costing R$ 529.990, and Night Edition, sold for R$ 539,990.

The model was presented first-hand at the Agrishow 2023 in Ribeirão Preto, SP, in May’s first week. Among the product’s differentials, the brand mentions the self-leveling pneumatic suspension Active-Level and rear seats reclinable by up to 8 degrees.

“The launch of the Ram 1500 Limited marks the arrival of the brand’s most luxurious, comfortable and technically advanced, with a strong urban appeal. This new version delivers even more sophistication and exclusive features, redefining the segment parameters”, said Breno Kamei, Ram’s South America’s vice president.

Made in Sterling Heights, USA, the new pickup carries the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine, which delivers 400 cv and 56.7 Nm, coupled to the 8-speed TorqueFlite transmission.

The drive system includes the 4×4 Auto mode. It enables the force to be distributed among the four wheels whenever needed, increasing drive safety, even on paved roads. There are also the options 4×4 High and 4×4 Low – the last one for off-rad.

“One of the Ram 1500 Limited differences regarding the Ram Rebel is the longer differential gear ratio (3.21 compared to 3.94), enabling driving in lower engine rpm at any speed”, informs Stellantis note, emphasizing the model’s energy efficiency.

Among the technologies contributing to fuel economy stand out the reduction of aerodynamic drag with the Active-Level suspension’s Aero mode. Unique in the segment, it equips both axles and has automatic command or is activated through the panel or the vehicle key, which allows using the five modes delivering ride comfort and much load capacity:

  • Normal – for normal use, with a 211 mm ground clearance;
  • Aero – the suspension is lowered by 15 mm over 100 km/h;
  • Off-road 1 – raises the clearance to 241 mm;
  • Off-road 2 – clearance goes up to 262 mm;
  • Park – helps to enter or leave the cabin and eases loading and unloading, with a 159 mm clearance.

Except for the Ram 1500 Rebel, the new 1500 Limited has the highest towing capacity among the market’s V8 pickups: 3.647 kg. The chassis is 98% made of high-resistance steel, and the engine hood and cargo bed door are made of aluminum to reduce weight. The new pickup also brings the new Ram Connect platform to ensure full connection between driver and vehicle.
