The truck market bought more in May than in the previous month. According to Fenabrave data presented on Friday, 6/2, cargo haulers purchased nearly eight thousand units, compared to 7.3 in April.
Nonetheless, last month’s volume was 23.4% lower than in May 2022, when 10.3 thousand trucks were delivered.
The falling trend is also reflected year-to-date. In the first five months, deliveries reached 42.6 thousand units, compared to 46.4 thousand one year ago, an 8.2% reduction.
According to Andreta Jr., president of the dealers federation, cargo transporters, like all other market segments, face a high selectivity in financing access and resist higher investment costs.
“Truck buyers keep waiting. There is still a product price inadequacy due to the introduction of Euro 6 technology.
The bus market keeps recovering
The bus segment keeps recovering after the pandemic’s impact. In May, deliveries reached 2.2 thousand units, 34% more than in April and 24.3% over last year (1.8 thousand).
With May’s partial figures computed, sales this year reached nearly 11.2 thousand units, a 51.3% growth over the 7.4 thousand buses licensed in the same period in 2022.
Com 249,4 mil unidades, outubro tem o melhor resultado mensal do ano
