According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, Rampage means “a course of violent, riotous, or reckless action or behavior”. That is the name chosen to baptize the first Ram model to be produced in Brazil by Stellantis in its automotive complex in Goiana, state of Pernambuco.
The model was shown in full in the fourth and last episode of a mini-series about the product that intends to expand Ram’s participation in the national market. The video includes speeches by Breno Kamei, the brand’s vice president for South America, Peter Fassbender, Stellantis’ Design vice president for the region, and Mike Koval Jr, Ram’s global CEO.
According to a Stellantis’ note issued on this Monday, 6/5, the name was chosen with a purpose: “We choose a historic name, which has been used by the brand before and represents very well what the car would offer”, said Kamei in the video that, after piecemeal information released over the last few weeks, fully shows the vehicle exterior. The Rampage should launch on June 19.
