Byd Brasil’s president, Tyler Li, said that the Dolphin EV 100% electric imported from China is one of the models that may be produced in Brazil. The car is offered for R$ 149.8 thousand.

With this launch, Byd has five models available in the Brazilian market. The others are the electric Tan EV, Han EV and Yuan Plus EV, and the hybrid Song Plus DM SUV. The Dolphin uses the e-Platform 3.0 especially developed for 100% electric cars.
‘The platform integrates the high-voltage system and the batteries with the chassis, which improves safety and autonomy and ensures a smart drive experience”, said the Byd’s executives, who emphasized the 2.7 meter long wheelbase that makes the vehicle more spacious.
Its 44.9 kWh blade battery can be rechareged through an adapter in a normal 127 V or 220 V outlet. With high-power chargers such as those found in malls, service stations, parkings and many residences, the battery can charge from 20% to 80% in just 25 minutes.
Equiped with cruise control and a 360 degrees panoramic view for safe moneuvers, the Dolphin EV can accelerate up to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 150 km/h. There are three drive modes: Sport, ECO and Snowfield.
Another feature is the voice command that can be used for actions such as “Hi Byd, connect Spotify” ou “Hi Byd, drive me home”.
