Rampage body awarded SAE prize

Disputing against the Chevrolet Montana, Ford Maverick Hybrid and VW Virtus, the Rampage Ram produced in Pernambuco and just arrived at the brand’s dealerships in Brazil won the 2023 SAE Brasil Car Body award at the seventh symposium about the theme this week in São Paulo.

The evaluation and awarding event on Wednesday, 8/23, assembled the most important body and material engineers, who followed technical presentations by the manufacturers of the vehicles exhibited, all with the body structure exposed.

The Rampage’s presentation was made by two specialists from Stellantis South America’s Tech Center,  Fabiano Soares, Body manager, and Guilherme Fernandes, Body-in-White manager.

At the end of the symposium promoted by SAE Brasil, a specialized jury chose the best project based on the presenters’ performance, presentation quality and clearness, use of new materials and new project technologies, manufacture and materials innovation and assertiveness at the question and answers session.

The first Ram produced in Brazil, the Rampage was created and developed in the country with the participation of the United States headquarters. The pickup structure is manufactured at Stellantis Industrial Pole in Goiana, PE, with 86% high and ultra-high-strength steel.
