Caoa Chery announced a R$ 3 billion investment for the next five years in its plant in Anápolis, GO, in an event joined by Brazilian Vice President and Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services, Geraldo Alckmin.

With the expected new jobs, the current 2 thousand employees workforce will expand to 2,8 thousand. Fifty hirings were already done.

Caoa Chery’s president, Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Andrade Filho, explained that the new investment aims to expand the brand’s production and will consequently generate more jobs and enable new product development and marketing and post-sales actions.

The entrepreneur did not mention the current production figures or the goals to be reached up to 2028. He informed that the production capacity of the Tiggo 5X Sport, the brand’s entry model, would be expanded by 150%.

“With this plan, Caoa foresees the creation of 800 new direct jobs. We are a national company, and we believe in Brazil. We will keep investing in new products to renew the current lineup and introduce new electrification technologies, ” the executive said at the event held at Caoa Montadora’s plant on Tuesday, 8/29.

Andrade Filho highlighted the group’s post-sales service, “one of the country’s most efficient” and announced plans to expand the dealer net for better distribution capillarity.

He also said the company will keep investing in local research and development using mostly the qualified regional workforce. Caoa has one of the country’s main energy efficiency research centers, which maintains partnerships with public universities in Goiás.

The space has the world’s largest glass facade with organic photovoltaic film (OPV) with 850 square meters to generate solar electrical energy.
