With increasing exports this year, Brazilian road implement manufacturers keep looking for new businesses in neighboring countries and in other continents. Next weeks there will happen a negotiation round in Johanesburg and Gqeberha, South Africa.
Promoted by Anfir, the implement manufacturers association, in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Exports and Investments Promotion Agency), the action will include 15 Brazilian companies: ComLink, Engatcar, Forbal, Frigo King, Frota Brasil, Grimaldi, Hallco, HC Hornburg, Hydro Extrusion, Ibiporã, Planalto Industria, Randon, Tecnnic, Thermo Star and Unylaser.
“Our export program is now focusing on Africa, a continent that already knows Brazilian road implements”, said José Carlos Spricigo, Anfir’s president, explaining that the current mission aims to improve the local logistic operators knowledge about Brazilian products.
The MoveBrazil program already promoted three actions this year. The first was the participation in the MATS-Mid-America Trucking Show in the United States, followed by business rounds in the Dominican Republic and Chile.
The meetings in Johanesburg will happen from October 23 through 25 and in Gqeberha on 25 and 26. With internal sales falling in the first nine months of the year from 117,034 units in 2022 to 111,176, the Brazilian road implement industry expanded its exports by 13% from 3,569 to 4,061 in the same period.
Last year there were sector actions in Peru, Mexico and Germany and an international business round at the Fenatran.
